Tom has more than 25 years experience in intellectual property and commercial litigation. His litigation experience runs the gamut from intellectual property matters to general business conflicts, including breach of contract, fraud, tortious interference, trade secret misappropriation, breach of fiduciary duty, and shareholder derivative matters. Tom has tried cases in federal and state courts around the country.

As the head of Brooks Kushman's litigation group, Tom Lewry has been the driving force behind the firm's adoption of cutting edge technology for courtroom presentations and to deliver information to clients more quickly and efficiently.

• Ashton-Tate v. Fox Software (successfully defended decamillion dollar copyright infringement suit involving database software)
• Johns-Manville Corp. v. Guardian Industries Corp. (won decamillion dollar trade secret and patent infringement suit involving fiberglass manufacturing)
• Hilgraeve v. Symantec (obtained decamillion dollar settlement of patent infringement case against anti-virus maker)
• Sutmyn Corp. v. Storage Technology Corp. (won patent infringement judgment involving virtual storage systems and successfully defended against antitrust claims)
• Waner v. Ford Motor Co. (successfully defended multimillion dollar patent infringement case involving heavy-duty trucks)
• Case v. New Holland (successfully defended multimillion dollar patent infringement case involving hay balers)
• TiG v. Automobile Club Insurance Group (settled contract dispute involving computer software)
• Palmer v. Fox Software (successfully defended decamillion dollar breach of fiduciary duty claims)
• Expeditors v. Vastera (successfully defended decamillion dollar trade secret claim involving import/export regulations and logistics)
