Mr. Rondini current practice involves preparation and prosecution of patent applications in the electrical and electro-mechanical arts. Beyond drafting and prosecuting patents, Mr. Rondini also has experience in the preparation of patentability opinions, infringement opinions, and performing due diligence analysis.
Mr. Rondini’s current practice also involves representing clients involved in patent litigation matters. With respect to his litigation experience, Mr. Rondini has assisted clients with pre-filing investigations, preparation of legal briefs on a wide range of legal topics, as well as licensing and acquisition agreements.
Prior to returning to law school, Mr. Rondini spent nearly ten years working for several companies as both a hardware design and software design engineer. More particularly, Mr. Rondini has worked as a lead application specific integrated circuit (ASIC) design engineer for both a Fortune 500 computer corporation, as well as, a small design company. While working at both companies, Mr. Rondini’s duties pertained to front end and back end design implementation of semiconductor processors containing over 1 million logical circuits. Mr. Rondini’s duties also included logical placement and timing analysis of each microprocessor. Such experience has helped Mr. Rondini gain valuable experience in the computer, telecommunication, and aerospace industries.
Mr. Rondini also gained valuable engineering experience in hardware design and software implementation while working at several tier one automotive companies. While working at such companies, Mr. Rondini’s duties included managing the design and implementation of user interfaces for touch screen applications. In addition, Mr. Rondini’s duties included managing the design and implementation of data acquisition hardware.
Mr. Rondini is currently licensed to practice in the courts of the State of Michigan, in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan, and before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
