Steve Scharf has more than 20 years of experience practicing in the area of intellectual property law with a focus on domestic and international trademarks.  He specializes in trademark registration, enforcement, protection and dispute resolution.  Steve also has experience in matters relating to patents, copyrights, trade secrets, licensing, unfair competition, and intellectual property litigation.

Steve advises clients of all sizes ranging from emerging companies to Fortune 100 companies in a wide variety of industries including retail services, consumer products, food & beverage, automotive, and manufacturing.

With more than 15 years of in-house experience before coming to Brooks Kushman, Steve held positions with several major companies, ranging from an international retailer to a publicly traded consumer products company.   His in-house experience includes management of all legal aspects of patents, trademarks, copyrights, intellectual property litigation and licensing issues as well as managing global intellectual property portfolios.
