Anna’s practice involves the clearance, procurement, maintenance and enforcement of trademark rights and copyright protection and enforcement work. Her practice also encompasses trade dress, internet and entertainment law. Her experience includes managing client portfolios, providing clearance opinions, devising filing strategies, negotiating agreements and defending intellectual property rights through Trademark Trial and Appeal Board proceedings, cease and desist communications, online take-down procedures under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act and domain name disputes. Additionally, Anna has experience overseeing trademark infringement and counterfeit issues internationally.
Anna takes a client-focused approach, representing clients ranging from large corporations to start-ups in a variety of areas including the automotive, entertainment, financial service and insurance industries.
Anna served as a legal intern under former Chief Justice of the Michigan Supreme Court, the Honorable Marilyn Kelly. Anna has a strong commitment to the arts and is an active member of the Arts, Communications, Entertainment and Sports section of the Michigan Bar, currently serving as Secretary. Anna is an active participant in the Lawyers for the Creative Economy Initiative through ArtServe of Michigan, providing pro-bono and low cost services to qualifying local artists. Anna also serves on the International Trademark Association’s (INTA’s) Pro-Bono Committee.
