SOUTHFIELD, Mich. – Brooks Kushman shareholder David Randall is moderating a panel at TechTainment 4.0, a conference hosted by the Los Angeles Intellectual Property Legal Association (LAIPLA) and Loyal Law School. The panel includes distinguished members of the IP and technology communities, and during the discussion they will explore how companies are attempting to reimagine and, in some cases, disrupt traditional business models in the media and entertainment space using blockchain technologies.
Randall is the co-chair of the Planning Committee for TechTainment 4.0, and also co-chaired the Planning Committee for the LAIPLA Spring Seminars in both 2014 and 2018. Randall was also voted onto the Board of Directors for LAIPLA during the current term.
Randall is based in Brooks Kushmans’ Los Angeles office. He routinely represents clients in complex IP litigation matters, including patent, trademark and trade secret litigation, throughout the United States, as well as in multijurisdictional matters. Randall’s practice also includes post-grant proceedings with the Patent Trial and Appeal Board. He has advised clients on over twenty inter partes review and ten patent interference proceedings. His experience also covers a broad range of technologies, including technologies in the 3D printing, aerospace, automotive, biofuels, communications, chemical, consumer products, electronics, fashion, Internet, laser, medical device, material science, optics, and software and data storage industries.
Along with his involvement with LAIPLA, Randall has been an active member of the Intellectual Property Owners Association’s (IPO) U.S. Post-Grant Patent Office Practice Committee since 2013, and is a member of the Planning Committee for the USC IP Institute.
