Brooks Kushman Shareholder Marc Lorelli to Discuss American Invents Act Proceedings at the Toledo Intellectual Property Law Association Spring Seminar

SOUTHFIELD, Mich., – Brooks Kushman, P.C. Shareholder and Patent Attorney, Marc Lorelli will serve as one of three panelists at the Toledo Intellectual Property Law Association`s spring seminar on Tuesday, March 25, 2014. The seminar will provide an overview of post-grant patent proceedings under the new American Invents Act (AIA).

Lorelli`s presentation will focus on the intricacies of Inter Partes Review and its use as a powerful tool in patent litigation strategy. Inter Partes Review was introduced under AIA to improve patent quality and limit counterproductive litigation.

Lorelli`s practice at Brooks Kushman focuses on intellectual property litigation. His practice also includes experience with post-grant proceedings before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Lorelli has been instrumental in helping the firm grow its nationally recognized intellectual property (IP) litigation and post-grant proceedings practice.

The seminar`s other panelists include Matthew Cutler, a patent attorney at Harness Dickey & Pierce P.L.C. and Judge Mitchell Weatherly, administrative patent judge on the Patent Trial Appeal Board.
