Tim Clise specializes in U.S. and international patent preparation and prosecution in the electrical, mechanical, and electromechanical arts. Tim`s practice also includes preparing opinions, including freedom to operate, patentability opinions, infringement opinions, and intellectual property transactions. Tim also advises his clients on designs, trademarks and trade secrets as part of his client`s worldwide intellectual property portfolios to develop meaningful, worldwide intellectual property portfolios for his clients.

Tim`s practice extends beyond traditional patent prosecution and includes advising companies, venture capitalists, angel investors, and individual investors on patent portfolios prior to investment, divesture or monetization.

Tim`s experience spans across a wide range of industries and technologies. He has experience counseling clients from large, Fortune 500 companies to small start-ups. Tim has prepared and prosecuted patent applications on a variety of technologies including telecommunications, computers, computer software, business methods, gaming systems, automotive technologies, consumer appliances/electronics, building products, semiconductor fabrication and medical devices.

Prior to joining Brooks Kushman, Tim was an Intellectual Property Attorney for a major wireless communications corporation.
