Bryce Whitworth is a registered patent attorney and focuses his practice on domestic and foreign patent prosecution in the mechanical, electromechanical, and material arts. In particular, he has experience representing clients and protecting intellectual property rights in the consumer products, material handling, automotive accessories, and construction industries.
With over 15 years of experience in a variety of technical fields and industries, Bryce is adept and flexible in assisting clients in patent procurement, protection, and IP portfolio management. He is experienced in patent prosecution and patent litigation.
Bryce works closely with his clients to develop and implement patent portfolio strategies to fit their business needs. He is dedicated to bringing a client-focused approach to his practice, and works with in-house counsel, engineering, and business teams to successfully manage patent portfolios.
Prior to entering the legal profession, Bryce was a municipal engineer, a structural engineer for a global solar power generation design firm, as well as an aerospace stress analysis engineer for a custom jetliner interior component designer and supplier.
Bryce graduated from Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville, where he received a masters and bachelors degree in civil/structural engineering. He attended law school at Stetson University College of Law. During law school, Bryce also received his MBA.
Outside of work, Bryce, his family, and dogs try to take as much possible advantage of the natural attractions of Michigan, including boating, beaching, hiking, surfing, lounging, skiing, and his preferred outdoor activity is hitting the links, when time permits.
