Brooks Kushman`s Mark A. Cantor, president, and Frank A. Angileri, shareholder, were recently honored as 2009 Best Lawyers in America in the intellectual property (IP) law specialty. The 2009 edition of The Best Lawyers in America is based on more than 2.5 million detailed evaluations of lawyers by other lawyers.
According to Best Lawyers, the designation honors outstanding attorneys by conducting exhaustive peer-review surveys in which leading lawyers confidentially evaluate their professional counterparts. Because lawyers are not required or allowed to pay a fee to be included, a listing in Best Lawyers is widely regarded within the legal profession as a notable honor, conferred on a lawyer by his or her peers.
Cantor, one of five lawyers who founded Brooks Kushman more than 25 years ago, leads the firm`s active litigation practice and is involved in much of the major litigation handled by Brooks Kushman. Cantor has handled and tried cases in state and federal courts throughout the country and in a number of international forums.
Angileri`s practice covers a full range of IP matters, including managing and trying a number of such cases. He is involved in most of Brooks Kushman`s appellate work and has briefed or argued 30 appeals since joining the firm.
