Southfield, Mich. – George Mosher, an attorney at intellectual property law firm Brooks Kushman P.C., was honored at the 20th Annual Quality People/Quality County (Q2) Awards event. George was one of only three recipients of this award for 2012, which recognizes individuals who have contributed to improving the quality of life in Oakland County.
Mosher was honored at an awards event hosted by Oakland County Executive L. Brooks Patterson, which was held on December 10. The event occurs annually to honor those who have helped make Oakland County a better place to live. As founder of Oakland Community College and the first Chairman of its Board of Trustees, George is being honored for his lasting influence on countless students` lives. Since its establishment in the 1960s, Oakland Community College has grown to become the largest of Michigan`s 28 community colleges and has been recognized as a “shining star for Oakland County” due to the success of its job programs.
George`s work focuses primarily on the practice areas of copyrights and trademarks. He brings more than 50 years of experience to his work at Brooks Kushman, as he spent the majority of his career prior to joining the firm at General Motors overseeing the automaker`s trademarks. In addition to his vast and varied experience, George is well known for the zeal and enthusiasm that he brings to trademark and copyright matters. He remains involved within the Oakland County community and is affectionately referred to as the Father of Oakland Community College.
