Brooks Kushman Shareholder Marc Lorelli to Serve as Panelist at ACC Corporate Counsel University

SOUTHFIELD, Mich., – Brooks Kushman, Shareholder Marc Lorelli, will serve as a panelist at the Association of Corporate Counsel’s (ACC) Corporate Counsel University on June 3, 2014 in Minneapolis, MN. Brooks Kushman is also one of the firm sponsors for the event.

Lorelli’s panel, “Protecting Your Client’s IP,” will focus on identifying common issues in advertising, trademarks, licensing, open source software, and post-grant proceedings, specifically inter partes review. The panel will also discuss nondisclosure agreements and necessary steps to protect corporate assets without infringing on the intellectual property (IP) rights of others.

Lorelli’s practice at Brooks Kushman focuses on intellectual property litigation, and includes experience with post-grant proceedings before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. He has successfully tried patent, trademark, trade secret and copyright cases in Federal Courts nationwide, the Federal Circuit Court of Appeals, and the International Trade Commission.

ACC’s Corporate Counsel University is a two-day workshop which features panels that focus on various areas of corporate law. The event will take place on June 1st – 3rd at the Minneapolis Marriott City Center. The program is designed specifically for attorneys who are new to in-house practice or looking to sharpen their basic practice skills. Topics range from data privacy and employment to finance and intellectual property.
