SOUTHFIELD, Michigan – Brooks Kushman along with 74 other leading law firms in the US, UK, and Canada are partnering with Diversity Lab to continue to build a culture of inclusion for people with disabilities by implementing a number of the actions listed on the recently launched Disability Inclusion Commitments.

The Disability Inclusion Commitments program was born from Diversity Lab’s Disability Inclusion Advisory Group. This group recognized that disability inclusion is often overlooked in diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) efforts. The advisory group, made up of world-renowned advocates and leaders from law firms and legal departments, created a list of 10 actions that organizations should take to increase inclusion and equitable access to opportunities for disabled individuals in the legal profession.

For this commitment, each participating firm indicated which actions they were already taking and would improve on, and which new actions they would look to implement in 2024. We are confident that these actions will create a better environment for those who work at the firm and will set a precedent for a high standard of practice for all law firms in our industry.
