Brooks Kushman’s Stasa Honored as a 2011 “Up & Coming Lawyer” by Michigan Lawyers Weekly

Southfield, Mich., December 1, 2011 – Michigan intellectual property law firm Brooks Kushman P.C. is pleased to announce that patent attorney Benjamin C. Stasa has been named a 2011 “Up & Coming Lawyer” by Michigan Lawyers Weekly.  Stasa`s appointment marks the fourth consecutive year that a Brooks Kushman attorney has been honored by the legal publication as an “Up & Coming Lawyer.”

Stasa is one of 20 honorees in the 2011 class of “Up & Coming Lawyers” who will be recognized at a Celebration Luncheon hosted by Michigan Lawyers Weekly on December 8, 2011.  According to Michigan Lawyers Weekly, this honor recognizes Michigan attorneys who have been practicing for not more than ten years for achievements including noteworthy cases and legal outcomes, contributions to their practice area and the legal industry, and involvement in community and/or bar association efforts.

Stasa, a patent attorney at Brooks Kushman, was recognized as a 2011 “Up & Coming Lawyer” for his innovative approach to preparing patent applications.  Recognized by The Patent Research Review`s Patent Buddy 2011 as a “Top Patent Prosecutor,” Stasa`s dedication to improving his practice has led him to achieve valuable results for his clients.

Stasa graduated with honors from the University of Michigan Law School and was admitted to the patent bar in 2003.  He is a member of the San Francisco Intellectual Property Law Association, one of the oldest and largest IP law associations in the country.  Stasa holds master`s degrees in Electrical and Computer Engineering and Mechanical Engineering, as well as an M.B.A.  He also completed postgraduate studies in Computer and Information Science.
