Phyllis Golden Morey Profiled as a “Best Lawyer”

Brooks Kushman`s Phyllis Golden Morey was profiled as one of the Crain`s Detroit Business “Best Lawyers” in its December 6, 2010 issue. In the article, Morey – leader of Brooks Kushman`s commercial litigation and compliance groups, as well as the firm’s chief diversity officer – discusses how she helped build the commercial litigation as a practice in late 2007.

“It was a smaller part of my practice when I joined the firm, maybe not even 5 percent. And this year it was probably in the neighborhood of 50 percent of my work. In some cases we were completely commercial claims, and some had part of the cases that were commercial where another part dealt with patents or trademarks,” Morey said. “And other attorneys have come in to work with me on those cases. It has definitely grown.”
