William Thomson Recognized by the Rose Bowl Legacy Foundation

 Brooks Kushman attorney William (Bill) Thomson was recognized by the Rose Bowl Legacy Foundation and Rose Bowl Stadium for his contributions to the stadium and community.

In the acknowledgment for Bill, the team at the Rose Bowl Stadium states that Bill “has provided perspective, insight and key energy that was focused on the preservation, protection and enhancement of the future of America’s Stadium.” Bill has served as a City Council Member and Mayor of the City of Pasadena. In this role, he has “led key discussions with UCLA Football to make the Rose Bowl Stadium the home venue for the Bruins in 1982.” Bill also has served as President during critical times in the stadium’s history.

In his practice, Bill has litigated a broad spectrum of complex patent and other intellectual property cases, particularly pharmaceutical, biotech, chemical, and computer technology matters. An accomplished trial lawyer, Bill has represented major clients in jury and court trials, and before the International Trade Commission. Bill’s litigation career includes significant representation of Asian and European-based clients, in addition to U.S. clients. Bill represents the University of Southern California on patent matters, and serves as Counselor and an active member of the Judge Paul R. Michel Intellectual Property American Inn of Court. Bill also counsels clients on patent, trademark, copyright, trade secret, and licensing matters, and is a frequent lecturer on intellectual property issues.
