David Randall to Speak at Patent Prosecution Boot Camp

SOUTHFIELD, Mich. – Brooks Kushman shareholder David Randall taught a three hour patent claim drafting workshop at the Patent Prosecution Boot Camp earlier this week hosted by the American Intellectual Property Association (AIPLA) in Philadelphia, PA. This is Randall’s fifth year teaching the workshop.

Day one of the Boot Camp is focused on teaching about the preparation of a patent applications and included a number of workshops on claim drafting in Mechanical, Electrical/Software, and Bio/Pharma/Chemistry fields.  Day two of the Boot Camp was dedicated to prosecution of a patent application and included lectures covering various aspects of prosecuting a patent application and workshops on how to respond to Office Actions in the Mechanical, Electrical/Software, and Bio/Pharma/Chemistry fields.  The final day of the Boot Camp covered Petitions, Appeals, Post-Grant Proceedings, and International aspects of the patent practice, including PCTs.
