Brooks Kushman’s Sparschu Discusses Trademark Enforcement Strategies at State Bar of Michigan`s Intellectual Property Law Spring Seminar

SOUTHFIELD, Mich.Brooks Kushman shareholder and trademark practice leader, Mark Sparschu, will discuss “Trademark Enforcement Strategies to Protect Brands in an Ever-Challenging Environment” at the State Bar of Michigan`s 2013 Intellectual Property Law Spring Seminar. Sparschu will present on March 25 from 11:20 a.m. to 12:20 p.m. at the Kellogg Hotel & Conference Center in East Lansing, Mich.

During his presentation, Sparschu will provide the in-house and outside counsel perspective for combating trademark misappropriation. According to Sparschu, the threats to clients` valuable goodwill are increasing, from counterfeiting to internet infringement, including infringements in Web 2.0 and online marketplaces. In the session, participants will learn about the strategies and tools available to the brand owner, including an evaluation of their relative merits in different enforcement situations, as well as how to identify the most effective and cost-efficient solutions for clients.
