Brooks Kushman Participating in Challenge Detroit Initiative, Supporting Innovation and Leadership

Southfield, Mich., March 21, 2012Intellectual property law firm Brooks Kushman P.C. is excited to announce it is participating in the new, national initiative Challenge Detroit.  Brooks Kushman is the only law firm among the 30 Challenge Detroit host companies, which are leaders in the area dedicated to driving and supporting innovation and growth in the Detroit metro area.

“As IP attorneys, we are steeped in innovation, working daily with corporations and inventors in a variety of industries across the country to protect the intellectual property associated with innovation,” said Frank Angileri, a shareholder in Brooks Kushman.  “Brooks Kushman is thrilled to be a part of this initiative, which we think will bring new leaders to this great city and help spur economic growth.”

Founded on the belief that 30 of the best and brightest, passionate, and inventive individuals can make all the difference, tomorrow`s leaders are invited to participate in one of the largest urban revitalization projects in history by applying for Challenge Detroit.  The 30 chosen participants will live in Detroit and will receive a one-year contract and salary to work at Brooks Kushman or another participating company, experience the city through organized social and cultural events, and participate in monthly team challenges designed to positively impact the city and region.

Challenge Detroit is currently accepting applications to participate through March 25, 2012.  Anyone from across the United States is invited and welcome to apply at www.ChallengeDetroit.org.  The year in Detroit will begin in August 2012.
