Southfield, Mich.– The Association of Fundraising Professionals Greater Detroit Chapter has recognized Brooks Kushman principal Stephanie Mansfield, Ph.D. as a Distinguished Volunteer for her work with Judson Center’s Autism Connections program during their 28th Annual National Philanthropy Day® on November 6, 2019.

National Philanthropy Day is the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) of Greater Detroit Chapter’s premier event that celebrates the passion, commitment, and leadership of Southeastern Michigan’s philanthropists, distinguished volunteers, and those in the fundraising profession.

Mansfield, a 22-year veteran of the firm who specializes in patent prosecution and intellectual property protection within the biomedical and medical device industries, has organized team members for the last 12 years to be part of the Brooks Kushman Team Autism group that participate in Detroit Marathon events and raise money for the Judson Center and its Autism Connections program.  Her efforts have resulted in more than $60,000 raised for Autism Connections over this time period.

AFP of Greater Detroit seeks to foster the professional development and growth of fundraising professionals to preserve and enhance philanthropy and volunteerism, and to promote the highest ethical standards in the fundraising profession worldwide. They believe that diversity and inclusion create a strong, vital, and unified force for the effective pursuit of an organization’s mission and achieving philanthropic success.

Since 2005, Judson Center’s Autism Connections program has been providing therapeutic, behavioral and support services that improve the quality of life for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and their families.
