SOUTHFIELD, Michigan– Brooks Kushman, a leading intellectual property (IP) and technology law firm, is proud to announce the firm’s inclusion in Chambers and Partners guide of 2019 Top intellectual property firms.

In addition to the firm’s recognition, Chambers and Partners has also recognized the work of firm President Frank Angileri, naming him in the highest level, Band 1, for his litigation experience. Shareholder Elizabeth Janda was also recognized as a Noted Practitioner for her trademark expertise.

“I am honored to be recognized and included in the distinguished Chambers USA 2019 publication for the third year in a row,” Angileri said. “This is a testament to all the hard work we’ve done here at Brooks Kushman, and I am proud to be part of our dedicated legal team. We distinguish ourselves by valuing our clients and prioritizing quality service above all else, and it shows in the work we do on their behalf.”

The awards are based on research for the 2019 edition of Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business, and reflect a law firm’s pre- eminence in key practice areas. Firms are evaluated by interviews with firms and their attorneys, clients, and competitors, and they also reflect notable achievements over the past 12 months. This includes outstanding work, impressive strategic growth and excellence in client service.

Angileri’s practice focuses on intellectual property litigation, and he has successfully tried patent, trademark, trade secret and copyright cases in Federal Courts nationwide, the Courts of Appeals for the Sixth and Federal Circuits, and the International Trade Commission. He also works with clients to challenge or defend patents via the administrative trial procedures created under the America Invents Act (AIA).

Janda is the Co-Chair of Brooks Kushman’s Trademark practice, and has over 30 years of experience in intellectual property law. She manages substantial trademark portfolios both domestically and internationally and works closely with a network of vetted international contacts that the firm has developed over the past decades.
