Brooks Kushman Associate to Discuss Intellectual Property Ownership in University of Michigan Webinar Series

SOUTHFIELD, Mich., – Brooks Kushman Associate Anna Heinl will share her insights on intellectual property (IP) ownership during an educational webinar hosted by the University of Michigan School of Engineering`s Center for Entrepreneurship on August 7, 2014 from 1-2 p.m.

Heinl will join participants in the fourth session of a Google Hangout series on IP to discuss ways to ensure startups own the IP in their products or services. This discussion will focus on how to get the correct documents in place to assign rights from individuals to the company, how to choose company and product names that do not infringe a third party`s trademark rights and how to select and protect strong company and product names.

Heinl`s practice at Brooks Kushman focuses on the clearance, procurement, maintenance and enforcement of trademark rights and copyright protection and enforcement work. Her practice also encompasses trade dress, internet and entertainment law.
