Brooks Kushman Attorneys Help Light the Streets of Farmington Hills

October 31, 2011 – Brooks Kushman client, Illuminating Concepts, Inc. was featured in the October 31, 2011 issue of Crain’s Detroit Business for the unveiling of Intellistreets®, the high-tech streetlighting system.  The city of Farmington Hills is the first to use Intellistreets®, which combines wireless control, display images or words, and music or recorded messages from speakers, all in the light pole.  Intellistreets® uses green technologies that have received special status for examination at the United States Patent & Trademark Office.

“This is a win-win-win endeavor for Farmington Hills, as far as I’m concerned,” Farmington Hills Mayor Jerry Ellis said in a press release. “The city has the opportunity to invest federal grant money locally, we get to be home of the world premier of amazingly advanced technology, and we get to help a company right here in Farmington Hills showcase their innovation to the world.”

Ron Harwood is the principal and creative director for Illuminating Concepts and Brooks Kushman attorneys, John Buser, Michael Turner, Mark Cantor and Matt Mowers work with Harwood to file patents and trademarks for Illuminating Concepts.
