SOUTHFIELD, Mich., – Brooks Kushman Shareholder, Marc Lorelli, was featured in an article discussing patent troll litigation in the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.

In the article, “Patent Trolls Take Their Toll,” Lorelli discusses how the Leahy-Smith America Invents Act protects companies against patent trolls, as well as ways that patent trolls have continued to impact companies across all industries.

According to Lorelli, “Cutting just the troll out is very difficult to do. There are so many companies, individuals, universities that have patent rights; some may have a merited case that gets hurt by legislation.”

Lorelli`s practice at Brooks Kushman focuses on intellectual property litigation. He has successfully tried patent, trademark, trade secret and copyright cases in Federal Courts nationwide and the Federal Circuit Court of Appeals.
