Southfield, Mich. – Sangeeta G. Shah, a shareholder at intellectual property law firm Brooks Kushman, P.C., was featured in a recent article published in Detroit Legal News.  “ELEMENT-ary: Chemist finds just the right legal balance,” published on December 4th and written by Paul Janczewski. The article is accessible online http://www.legalnews.com/motion/article.php?article_id=225

Here is an excerpt of the article on Sangeeta:
Chemistry is defined as a science dealing with the composition and properties of substances. Other definitions describe chemistry as an interaction between people with respect to emotional or intellectual qualities, and the make-up of a person, group or situation.
For Sangeeta Shah, that word – and all its definitions – are applicable.
She once thought about a career as an analytical chemist, but her father, a prolific inventor, exposed her to the merging of law and chemistry.
And now, years later, Shah has developed a chemistry with her current lot in life – that of being an intellectual property attorney at the Southfield firm of Brooks Kushman, and by her work in a foundation devoted to social issues in India and another project that aims to increase literacy in Detroit.
