Brooks Kushman’s Shah to Present at Largest IP Conference in Asia-Pacific Region

Southfield, Mich. – Sangeeta Gandhi Shah, shareholder at Brooks Kushman`s Detroit office, is speaking at the 5th Annual Global IP Conference in Bangalore, India on Thursday, Jan. 24th. The largest IP conference in the Asia-Pacific region, the 2013 Global IP Conference will focus on the theme of “IPR: The Powerhouse of Tomorrow.”

The Global IP Conference brings together IP experts representing more than 30 countries, including the United States, the U.K., Germany, Japan, China, South Africa, Brazil, Israel, Pakistan and others to discuss issues relating to the interface of IP in the global arena. The 2013 event is slated to be the world`s largest conference on IP rights, covering important issues in innovation, technology and other IP-related issues.

During her presentation titled “Emerging Strategies for Protecting Global IP Rights from a Litigation / Client Counseling Perspective,” Shah will discuss the divided / joint infringement strategies in the wake of Akamai, the “Long Arm of the ITC: The effect of the Tian Rui case,” and post-AIA (America Invents Act) strategies. Shah will share the panel and discussion with: Dr. Jorg Thomaier, chief IP counsel, Bayer Group; Dr. Oliver S. Hartmann, partner, InDe Advocates, and president, Indo-German Lawyer Association; and Dr. Raj G. Sardesai, vice president and chief IP counsel, Avery Dennison Corp.
