Less than two percent of all registered patent attorneys are honored with this designation
SOUTHFIELD, Mich., July 28, 2011 – Benjamin C. Stasa, patent attorney, Brooks Kushman, has been named a Top Patent Prosecutor by Patent Buddy and the Patent Research Review. Stasa joins the top two percent of the approximately 30,000 registered patent attorneys that have been honored with this designation.
According to the listing, Top Patent Prosecutors are selected via a three-part process that identifies attorneys who have achieved a reputation among their peers for high quality work and counseling skills in patent application preparation and prosecution. The nominations are sorted by various geographical regions and general technology categories. The 2011 list was published in a recent issue of Patent Research Review, as well as on the Patent Buddy website.

As an associate at Brooks Kushman`s Southfield, Mich. office, Stasa prepares, prosecutes and advises on patents in the areas of software, computer organization, networks, solid state electronics, electronic circuits and communications. Stasa earned a juris doctor degree from the University of Michigan Law School in Ann Arbor. He also obtained a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in electrical and computer engineering from the University of Michigan, a M.S. degree in mechanical engineering from Oakland University in Rochester, Mich., as well as a Master of Business Administration and Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from Wayne State University in Detroit. Additionally, he has pursued postgraduate studies in computer and information science at the University of Michigan.
A registered patent attorney and member of the State Bar of Michigan and Federal District Court of the Eastern District of Michigan, Stasa is also a member of the San Francisco Intellectual Property Law Association.
