Stephanie Mansfield Leads Industry Program Sessions for the Biomedical Engineering Society Annual Meeting

SOUTHFIELD, Mich.Brooks Kushman principal Stephanie Mansfield is serving as General Manager – Conferences for the Industry and Clinical Committee within the Biomedical Engineering Society (BMES). In this role, Mansfield is responsible for managing all team members, team communications, and development and execution of all Industry and Clinical sessions at the BMES Annual Meeting in Atlanta from October 17-20, 2018. The goal of the Industry and Clinical Committee is to foster relationships between BMES and industry that span a range of educational, research, engagement and outreach activities of common interest.  Mansfield has been involved with the BMES Industry and Clinical Committee for 4 years.

Mansfield has over two decades of experience in drafting and prosecuting patent applications in the biomedical and mechanical arts.  In her career with Brooks Kushman, she has worked with many biomedical technology clients, focusing on medical, orthopedic and biomechanical devices, tissue engineering and consumer products. Mansfield speaks regularly on intellectual property protection within the biomedical and medical device industries.

Mansfield holds a Doctorate and Master of Science in Biomedical Engineering and a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering from Northwestern University.
