Anna Robinson to Moderate Panel on Copyright for Musicians Featuring the Acting Register of the Copyright Office

SOUTHFIELD, Mich. – Brooks Kushman shareholder Anna Robinson is moderating a panel called Copyright for Musicians on Thursday, February 21, 2019 at the main branch of the Detroit Public Library. The discussion will feature Acting Register of the Copyrights and Director of the U.S. Copyright Office, Karyn A. Temple, alongside industry representatives and local entertainment lawyers Howard Hertz, Joe Bellanca and Michael Everett Hall. The purpose of the panel is for the audience to gain insight into the Copyrights and Music Modernization Act and to learn how copyrights can impact musicians, producers, and artists and their songs, recordings, and production of music.

Robinson’s practice focuses on trademark and copyright protection and enforcement, as well as entertainment law. She has diverse experience managing clients’ trademark and copyright portfolios, negotiating agreements and protecting and defending intellectual property rights. A former chair of the State Bar of Michigan, Arts Communications Entertainment & Sports (“ACES”) Section, Robinson remains dedicated to the Section, currently serving on the Council as Ex-Officio. She is committed to helping artists and creative businesses protect and promote their intellectual property, and was recognized by Michigan Lawyers Weekly as a “2016 Up & Coming Lawyer” for her professional success and commitment to pro bono work.
