Attorneys Kyle Konz and Anna Robinson Panelists for UDM School of Law

SOUTHFIELD, Mich. – Brooks Kushman attorneys Kyle Konz and Anna Robinson will be on an upcoming panel for the Intellectual Property and Entertainment Law Society at the University of Detroit Mercy (UDM) School of Law. This panel will be a time for UDM Law Students to ask questions about Patent, Trademark, Copyright, or Entertainment Law of practicing IP and Entertainment Law Attorneys.

Kyle Konz focuses his practice on preparing and prosecuting domestic and foreign patent applications in the mechanical and electromechanical arts. Kyle has worked with a wide range of different clients including Fortune 100 Corporations to independent inventors. Kyle has written and prosecuted patent applications related to automotive and manufacturing. Kyle also manages trademark portfolios for several small businesses. A large part of Kyle’s current patent practice relates to powertrains, climate-control systems, electric motors, and controls. Kyle leverages his past engineering and hands-on experience to quickly learn inventions without requiring substantial time investments from inventors. Kyle’s practical experience allows him to understand how a particular invention fits within the larger system enabling him to fully capture the invention in context with the client’s overall goals.

Anna Robinson focuses her practice on trademark and copyright protection and enforcement, as well as IP-related entertainment law issues. Robinson has diverse experience managing and advising on clients’ trademark and copyright portfolios, conducting global trademark searches, negotiating agreements, and protecting and defending intellectual property rights. A former chair of the State Bar of Michigan, Arts Communications Entertainment & Sports (“ACES”) Section, Robinson remains dedicated to the Section, currently serving on the Board as Ex-Officio. She is committed to helping artists and those in the creative sector protect and promote their intellectual property and was recognized by Michigan Lawyers Weekly as a “2016 Up & Coming Lawyer” for her professional success and commitment to pro bono work.
