SOUTHFIELD, Mich. – Brooks Kushman has been ranked second among the Top 20 Firms in Tech Centers 3600 and 3700 in the United States based on an objective measurement of firm performance in front of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office by Juristat. Tech Center 3600 represents Transportation, Construction, Electronic Commerce, Agriculture, National Security and License & Review, and 3700 represents Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing and Medical Devices/Processes.
The Juristat ranking of the best patent firms is unique because both volume and performance are considered. Juristat based its analysis of over 7 million patent applications filed or disposed between July 2014 and July 2015 using a weighted average of four criteria including total number of applications filed, allowance rate, average number of office actions to allowance, and average time to allowance. Only firms that filed at least 200 applications between July 2014 and July 2015 were included in the analysis.
“We are proud to be recognized as one of the top performing U.S. patent prosecution firms,” said Mark Cantor, president of Brooks Kushman. “Our attorneys work hard to provide exceptional results and customized solutions to our clients’ needs, and having our dedication recognized is a great honor.”
