Southfield, Mich. William G. Abbatt, shareholder at Brooks Kushman`s Southfield office, will present at the American Conference Institute`s 3rd Advanced Summit on Medical Device Patents in Chicago on Monday, March 4. The conference, dedicated exclusively to medical device intellectual property (“IP”), will focus on practical prosecution and litigation strategies in the evolving IP landscape.

Abbatt will present in the session titled “Maximizing Device Patent Scope and Life: Navigating Through the Medical Device Patent Minefield.” During the session, he will offer insights on how to protect innovations that advance medical science and the interplay between all key players who must work together effectively to get a device to market.
