SOUTHFIELD, Mich. – Brooks Kushman shareholder Libby Janda will be a participant on a panel discussing brand protection and anti-counterfeiting involving intellectual property at the China Intellectual Property Road Show in Detroit, MI. The conference will be held on July 10, 2017 at the Elijah J. McCoy Midwest Regional United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) in Detroit, and is hosted by the USPTO, and the USPTO Office of Policy and International Affairs. The USPTO China Team will be present at the event, as well as other speakers from the U.S. government, academia, and practitioners. Presentations will focus on important issues involving China IP that will be of use to U.S. IP right holders, including litigation involving the defend trade secrets act, and creating and managing IP portfolios.

The event brings together policy makers and leaders on China IP issues, and will help business and inventors understand how to obtain and enforce IP rights in China.
