SOUTHFIELD, Mich. – Brooks Kushman Shareholder Sangeeta Shah will serve on a panel at the Centerforce IP Strategy Summit in Chicago on May 12, 2015.
The panel will focus on the proceedings for challenging patents created by the America Invents Act (AIA) and understanding how to best utilize the processes for effective defensive and enforcement strategies. Shah will discuss post-grant review, inter partes review, and covered business methods with four other panelists.
The IP Strategy Summit focuses on the development of strong offensive and defensive strategies for protecting and monetizing intellectual property (IP).
Shah is co-chair of post grant proceedings at Brooks Kushman and also serves as the firm’s chief diversity officer. Her practice is primarily focused on post-grant challenges and patent opinions. She represents several Fortune 500 clients for whom she provides strategic counseling and guidance on their global IP portfolios.
Shah holds a Juris Doctor from Wayne State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry and Economics from Kalamazoo College.
