Southfield, Mich.– IAM brought together local experts from leading firms in the United States and Europe, including Brooks Kushman shareholders Marc Lorelli and Michael MacCallum, to assess how patent prosecution practices continue to evolve with the changes in case law and local rules, and how innovation and prosecution practices are changing in some of the largest IP markets in the world.

Lorelli is the Co-Chair of Brooks Kushman’s intellectual property litigation practice. He has been instrumental in building, developing, and growing the team. Throughout his career, Lorelli has successfully tried patent, trademark, and trade secret copyright cases in the Federal Courts nationwide.

MacCallum primarily focuses his practices on managing intellectual property portfolios for his clients, ranging from Fortune 100 Corporations to independent inventors. He is experienced in all phases of patent procurement, from working directly with inventors to craft invention disclosures, to drafting and prosecuting patent applications to issuance. MacCallum has also served as lead counsel in various Inter Partes Review proceedings at the US Patent and Trademark Office.

IAM is one of the world’s leading IP business information provider. IAM was established in July 2003 to address the need for organizations to maximize the value of their intellectual property and other intangibles, and to examine the strategies that they can put in place to do this.
