Garrett Fridline is a registered patent agent at Brooks Kushman, where he focuses on patent prosecution and portfolio management. With a background in electrical and electronics engineering, he leverages his technical expertise to help clients secure protection for innovative technologies and navigate complex patent matters with precision. His work involves collaborating with inventors and in-house counsel to develop strategic approaches to intellectual property protection that align with business goals.
Before joining Brooks Kushman, Garrett worked as a patent agent at UnitedLex Corporation, supporting Ford Global Technologies in managing and prosecuting patents across a variety of technical disciplines. His prior experience as a U.S. Army officer serving as a Field Artillery Platoon Leader, Battery Executive Officer, and Assistant Fire Support Coordinator for III Corps instilled in him a strong foundation in leadership, logistics, and strategic planning. These skills translate directly to his methodical and results-driven approach to intellectual property law.
Garrett earned his Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point and received his Juris Doctor at the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law and holds an MBA from the same institution. Garrett is also a registered with the US Patent and Trademark Office.
Outside of work, Garrett plays in a men’s hockey league and enjoys watching his children participate in sports.
