ROYAL OAK, Michigan – Abdulai Rashid, an associate at Brooks Kushman, has been named a 2026 LCLD Pathfinder. The LCLD Pathfinder Program provides high-potential, early-career attorneys with the opportunity to learn from top leaders in the legal profession while gaining foundational leadership skills and relationship-building resources.
Designed as a supplement to training initiatives already in place at LCLD Member corporations and law firms, the Pathfinder Program offers practical tools for developing and leveraging internal professional networks, leadership skills, and an understanding of career development strategies.
LCLD President Robert J. Grey Jr. added, “The Pathfinder Program was developed to help propel high-potential attorneys to the next level in their careers. Through LCLD’s talent development initiatives—including this program—more than 25,000 legal careers have been impacted since our founding in 2009.”
In addition to the exclusive leadership and professional development curriculum that is unique to the LCLD Pathfinder Program, participants will have several opportunities throughout the year to meet and interact with their peers, both in person and in a virtual format.
LCLD Pathfinders are selected by the leaders at LCLD Member corporations and law firms and have been identified as early-career emerging leaders who have distinguished—or have the potential to distinguish—themselves within their organizations.
Abdulai focuses on patent prosecution and litigation in the biomedical and automotive industries, while also assisting clients with trademark matters and supporting early-stage innovators in developing protectable ideas. He gained experience in dispute resolution as the founder of Penn State Law’s Alternative Dispute Resolution Program, coordinating student teams in negotiation and mediation competitions. He also worked in the Penn State Law IP Clinic, helping entrepreneurs connect with counsel and resources.
LCLD is an organization of more than 400 corporate chief legal officers and law firm managing partners—the profession’s top leaders—who are committed to creating an environment where all talent can thrive. Our action programs are designed to attract, inspire, nurture, and retain the very best talent across society and within our Member organizations, thereby helping a new generation of attorneys ascend to positions of leadership. We work to promote equal opportunity through our organizations, circles of influence, and society at-large, with the ultimate goal of strengthening and diversifying the legal profession for generations to come. https://www.lcld.com/
