Brooks Kushman Shareholder Marc Lorelli to Serve as Panelist at ACC Corporate Counsel University

SOUTHFIELD, Mich.,Brooks Kushman Shareholder Marc Lorelli will serve as a panelist at the Association of Corporate Counsel’s (ACC) Corporate Counsel University on Monday June 13, 2016 in San Diego, CA. Brooks Kushman is also a sponsor of the event.

Lorelli’s panel, “Protecting Your Client’s IP,” will focus on identifying common issues in advertising, trademarks, licensing, open source software, and post-grant proceedings, specifically inter partes review. The panel will also discuss nondisclosure agreements and necessary steps to protect corporate assets without infringing on the intellectual property (IP) rights of others.

Lorelli is co-chair of Brooks Kushman’s intellectual property litigation practice. He has extensive experience with post-grant proceedings before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office including re-examination and increasingly inter partes review. He has successfully tried patent, trademark, trade secret and copyright cases in Federal Courts nationwide, the Federal Circuit Court of Appeals, and the International Trade Commission.

ACC’s Corporate Counsel University is a two-day workshop which features panels that focus on various areas of corporate law. The event will take place on June 12th – 14th at the Westin San Diego Gaslamp Quarter. The program is designed specifically for attorneys who are new to in-house practice or looking to sharpen their basic practice skills. Topics range from data privacy and employment to finance and intellectual property.
