Frank Angileri to Present at Detroit FCBA Event

SOUTHFIELD, Mich. – Brooks Kushman shareholder Frank Angileri will speak on a panel discussing the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB) at an intellectual property conference hosted by the Federal Circuit Bar Association’s (FCBA) and Wayne State University Law School. The conference will be held on April 19th at Wayne State University, and is a collaboration between the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office Midwest Regional Office (USPTO) and the FCBA/PTAB. Shareholder William Abbatt will serve as the moderator of the panel discussion.

Angileri is co-chair of Brooks Kushman’s Post-Grant Proceedings practice, and focuses on IP litigation. He has successfully tried patent, trademark, trade secret and copyright cases in Federal Courts nationwide, the Courts of Appeals for the Sixth and Federal Circuits, and the International Trade Commission. Angileri was also named Michigan’s IP “Litigator of the Year” by Managing IP for the third year in a row in 2017. His litigation experience spans across various technologies and industries including, automotive, consumer electronics, industrial technologies, food and beverage, and home appliances.

Abbatt has more than 30 years of experience as a patent attorney. His practice covers all aspects of domestic and foreign patent preparation and prosecution, opinions and IP-related due diligence investigations, plus litigation and related client counselling. He has experience with various technologies & industries, including aeronautical, automotive, medical devices, computer software, and consumer products.

The mission of the Federal Circuit Bar Association is to create a space for objective and inclusive dialogue, as well as to improve and facilitate the administration of justice in the Federal Circuit’s community. The Association includes the various groups who practice within the Circuit community, including the private and public sectors and litigators as well as agency and house counsel.
